Sayama Forest Chapel Hiroshi Nakamura & NAP
The chapel sits on the boundary between the forest and the grave area at top of the hill road in the verdant cemetery park. We focus on creating an architecture that offers a space where people are benevolently watched by the forest, looking up the forest and remember the feeling of reverence for the departed in an eternal sleep in the forest of Sayama. A series of 9 meters height wooden pillars with 60mm flat section is placed between the surrounding trees provides a space to pray under the forest.

Cosy in the Chalet: Gorgeous chalet-like house with modern design has wonderful woodland views
With such stunning surroundings, this house couldn’t be placed in a nicer spot. With backdrops of tall evergreen trees and brilliant woodland areas, you feel at home with nature here. The house was designed by in 2013 by American company Ward-Young Architecture and Planning and has a very chalet-like style about it.
Zoom Natury Recreational ParkNizio Design International
In the area of Zoom Natury Recreational Park, architecture meets ecology and it is secondary to nature. A range of buildings have been placed in the park, such as one floor pavilions for administrative and expositional purposes, observation tower and a bridge for cyclists and pedestrians. The buildings are made of natural and recycled materials.
The characteristic and dynamic reinforced concrete structure which holds the open-work roofing is a front gate to Zoom Natury and a symbol of forest. It leads visitors to the heart of the complex, which is the Energy Square. The main laboratory is the crucial part of the park. There are three sister pavilions next to it, Undergrowth laboratory, Laboratory of Bird Fauna and Troposphere and Laboratory of Recycling and Energy.
